WA: Jealous teenager stabbed love rival 47 times, court told

A Perth court's heard a jealous teenager killed her 15-year-old rival in love by stabbing
her 47 times with a fishing knife.

Nineteen-year-old KELLY RENAE FULLER is standing trial in the West Australian Supreme
Court for the wilful murder of JESSICA LANG at Ms LANG's suburban Bicton home in September
1998.

FULLER has pleaded not guilty, although she has admitted unlawfully killing the younger girl.

Crown prosecutor KEVIN TAVENER has told the court that FULLER was annoyed and jealous
when Ms LANG began seeing rollerskating disc jockey MICHAEL "MYK" BLOOM soon after she
broke up with him.

Mr TAVENER says FULLER told a number of her friends that she wanted to kill JESSICA.

He says FULLER stabbed Ms LANG at the younger girl's on September 24, 1998, with a
fishing knife taken from her father's shed. She then told a friend what she'd done.

The trial continues before Justice KERRY WHITE.
