Vic: Man charged over $8m raffle scam
A Melbourne man has been charged over an alleged $8 million raffle scam.
Police allege LAWRENCE SHANNON has held 32 raffles since 1995 for the Kids at Sea charityto fund a sailing program for teenagers recovering from drug addiction.
In 28 of the raffles it is alleged the prizes, worth a total of $8 million, eithernever existed or wound up in the hands of SHANNON and his associates.
